Dongfeng He

National Institute for Materials Science, Japan

Biography: Dongfeng He received his B.E. degree in applied physics from Tsinghua University, China, in 1992, and his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in the field of superconducting electronics from Peking University, China, in 1995 and 1998 respectively. When he was a Ph.D. student, he went to Juelich Research Center, Germany as a visiting researcher to attend a joint research project between China and Germany. There, he developed the driving circuit of high-Tc RF SQUID, one JSQ company product. From 1998 to 2000, he worked as a lecturer at the Physics Department of Peking University. From 2000 to 2004, he joined the project of Advanced Application of Magnetic Fields as a special researcher at Iwate Industrial Promotion Center, Japan. From 2004, he works at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. Now he is a Principal Researcher in NIMS. His research interests are in the fields of the corrosion evaluation of steel rebar and steel cable, the nondestructive evaluation of 3D-printed Ti-alloy, the nondestructive evaluation of the combustion chamber of the rocket, the high-sensitivity magnetic sensors, the infrared thermography nondestructive evaluation, the magnetic microscope, the nuclear quadruple resonance and the SQUID and its applications. He published over 50 first author SCI papers. He is a member of the Japanese Society of Non-Destructive Inspection, the Japan Institute of Metals and Materials, and the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP).
