Koji Asami

Biography: Koji Asami received the master’s degree in electronic engineering and Ph.D. degree in electronics and information engineering from Gunma University, Japan, in 1991 and 2009 respectively. From 1991 to 2025, he was with Advantest Corporation at their Gunma R&D Center, where he dedicated his time to researching signal-processing techniques for mixed-signal and RF LSI testing, including digital modulation analysis. He had been a researcher at VDEC the University of Tokyo Advantest D2T Research Division from 2017 to 2025. He had also been a Visiting Professor at Graduate School of Science and Technology in Gunma University from 2015 to 2024. Since 2025, he has been a Project Lecturer with Systems Design Lab, School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. His research interests include signal processing algorithms for testing RF and analog devices, as well as improving measurement hardware performance. He served as a member of the technical program committee of the IEEE International Test Conference in Asia in 2019, and has been a member of the steering committee of the IEEE Asian Test Symposium since 2026. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE and IEEJ.
