Qifa Yan

Biography: Dr. Yan Qifa graduated from Shanxi University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, and earned his Ph.D. in Communications and Information Systems from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, he conducted joint postdoctoral research at Télécom Paris and CentraleSupélec in Paris, France. From 2020 to 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois Chicago, USA. In March 2021, he joined the School of Information Science and Technology at Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include distributed computing and coding, privacy-preserving computing, and secure computing, information theory and Artificial Intelligence. He has independently led two projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and a special project sub-topic. In 2021, he was selected into a provincial high-level talent program.
