Pingqiang Zhou

Biography: Pingqiang Zhou received the M.E. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2007, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2012. He is now a tenured full professor with the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University. Prior to joining ShanghaiTech, he was with the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA, as a research intern, in 2011, and with the University of Minnesota as a Post-Doctoral Researcher from 2012 to 2013. He was also with the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley as a visiting scholar from Jan 2015 to June 2015. His research interests include EDA, AI for IC, IC for AI and the security of AI and IC. He has published ~100 internationally peer-reviewed journal and conference papers on these topics, and received a Best Poster Award at the 2021 China Semiconductor Technology International Conference and six Best Paper Award Nominations (ASP-DAC 2024, DATE 2023, APCCAS 2022, AsianHOST 2021, CSTIC 2016 and ASP-DAC 2010). He currently serve as an associate editor for ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs. He has been the TPC Co-Chair for Asian Hardware Oriented Security and Trust Symposium (AsianHOST) in 2020 and 2021, the General Co-Chair for AsianHOST in 2022, the TPC Co-Chair for the First RISC-V Summit China in 2021, and the Chair of the Design and Automation of Circuits and Systems Symposium at Conference of Science & Technology for Integrated Circuits (CSTIC) 2025.
