Biography: Dr. Taha Selim is a quantum information and quantum machine learning researcher with a strong background in quantum mechanics, quantum chemistry, and machine learning. He holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Theoretical and Computational Chemistry from Radboud University, an MSc in Physics, Lasers, and Materials from Universite de Bourgogne, and a BSc in Physics/Mathematics from The American University in Cairo. Currently, he serves as a Quantum Education Officer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and as the General Manager of MolKet SAS, a company specializing in management consulting and AI services for quantum molecular dynamics, cryptography, and neuromorphic-based computing. Dr. Selim's extensive experience includes developing quantum algorithms for quantum chemistry simulations and quantum machine learning, as well as presenting research at international conferences.
Dr. Selim possesses a powerful analytical mind, demonstrated through his aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking within the complex fields he works. His proficiency extends to technical skills such as Fortran, Python, C++, Matlab, machine learning libraries, and high-performance computing. Furthermore, he demonstrates strong interpersonal competencies, including exceptional communication, teaching, and leadership skills. This is evident in his role as a co-founder of iQaf'e, an online platform for teaching quantum computing and AI, and as a tech YouTuber with channels in English and Arabic, where he makes complex topics accessible to diverse audiences.
