Yidong Hou

Biography: Dr. Yidong Hou is currently an Associate Professor at Sichuan University and the group leader of intelligent and integrated photonics. Dr. Yidong received his Ph.D. in Photonics from Sichuan University in 2013. He attended The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Research Associate from 2013-2015, and worked in the Cavendish Lab in University of Cambridge as a visiting scientist from 2019-2022. He works on the intelligent and integrated photonics, including the coherent quantum effect in nanophotonics, polarization detection and imaging devices, chip spectrometer and spectral imaging devices, and chiral biosensors. As a PI/Co-PI, he has led over 10 projects, obtained 6 national authorized invention patents, published over 60 SCI journal papers in Advanced Functional Materials, Small, ACS applied materials & interface and other journals. He serves as the young editor of COL and the guest editor of Micromachines magazine.
