Special Session 10

Topic: Modulation, Coding, and Information Theory

In order to meet the growing demand for spectrum efficiency, reliability, and intelligent transmission in future communication systems, advanced modulation, channel coding, and information theory technologies aim to integrate new transmission strategies, capacity proximity codes, and semantic communication paradigms. Emerging directions such as modulation, advanced coding, and semantic communication are expanding the classical boundaries of reliable information transmission on complex channels, providing necessary support for ultra reliable low latency communication and efficient resource utilization. This topic focuses on the theoretical foundations and practical innovations of modulation, coding, and information theory in modern communication networks, from basic capacity limitations to coding and modulation algorithm design, to advancing next-generation physical layer standards and robust communication infrastructure.
